Dr. LaCourtney Landfair is very honored to continue her third year as principal of Ida Greene Elementary School. She is a native of Durant, MS. She was the 2004 Valedictorian of Durant High School. After high school, she earned her Associate of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Holmes Community College in 2006, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Math & Science from Mississippi State University in 2008, a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Belhaven University in 2011, and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership K-12 from Mississippi College in 2014. In 2020, she received her doctorate in Educational Leadership K-12 from Mississippi College.

Dr. Landfair has been dedicated to the field of education for sixteen years. She has worked in various roles with students ranging in age from kindergarten through 12th grade. She has been a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade teacher, a K-8 instructional coach, a 9th – 12th-grade instructional coach, and a high school assistant principal. She is thrilled to continue as an instructional leader at Ida Greene Elementary School and work with all stakeholders as education partners to ensure students reach their full academic potential. Dr. Landfair enjoys spending time with family, attending church, volunteering, cooking, and traveling. She believes in enjoying life by being of service to others. She is excited about this school year's possibilities and proud to be part of the Ida Greene Elementary School Family.
